Kelly and Cameron Engaged

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Fri, 09 Sep 2016 04:30:53 +0000

It was such a pleasure meeting Kelly and Cameron for their engagement photos. I met up with them at Kelly’s family home, and we had so much scenery to explore from the lake to the goats to the pond to the grapevines. Our possibilities were endless. I love nature and all it brings. Kelly and Cameron have such a sweet, young and innocent love between them. They are so carefree and ready for whatever life brings to them as a couple. I love their laid back personalities and their all around love for the country. I’m so looking forward to their wedding next year!

Kim + Greg | Engaged

It was such a pleasure meeting Kim and Greg for their engagement session at Kim’s family farm. You can tell this farm has so many memories for Kim’s family. This couple is so laid back and casual. They are sensible, down to earth, but they like a good laugh. Greg developed his own style of just looking lovingly at Kim, which was so sweet. These two together walk to their own beat and it is just perfect for each other.

It was so much fun photographing Josh and Jessica in celebration of their engagement. We decided to meet up at Crane’s Orchard on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Everyone else thought it was beautiful too as the place was packed. We eventually found each other and started exploring the orchard. Their puppy was so good the whole time and had a great time checking things out. I love it when couples have their pets in their photos.:) It was so great meeting these two, they are so fun and spunky together. You can tell that they just like to have a good time and are so comfortable with each other. Congratulations on your engagement!

Tara + Kyle | Kalamazoo Engagement Photographer

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Tue, 15 Sep 2015 06:15:20 +0000

Tara and Kyle were so much fun for their engagement session. It was so great getting to know them better as we tried to beat the heat and pretend it was fall. I think we were pretty successful. It was kind of hard not to be with such perfect subjects to work with. I love how they wanted to do some fun things and incorporate their fishing poles into the scene along with a playful water fight at the end to cool down. I’m so looking forward to their wedding next month.

Sarah + Louis | Kalamazoo Engagement Photographer

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Sat, 18 Jul 2015 15:52:55 +0000

Louis contacted me about a month before his big surprise was to unfold. He was ecstatic to propose to his girlfriend. The day came, the weather was beautiful and she said yes! Louis and Sarah had been to a raspberry farm on one of their adventures so that is where he decided to pop the question. I was unaware of how long the raspberry rows would be and that there would be twine all throughout them so I couldn’t really weave in and out of the rows or duck behind things like I had hoped. Sarah was a little suspicious of me lurking behind them flying solo with a camera.:) All in all though I am so glad I was able to capture this special moment for these two. Congratulations!

Laura + Ryan | Kalamazoo Wedding Photographer

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Tue, 19 May 2015 15:53:20 +0000

It was such a pleasure meeting Laura and Ryan in person for their engagement session. We originally tried for the winter months, but mother nature just didn’t really cooperate with us! We settled on a beautiful spring weekend and took their engagement photos at the Kellog Forest in Augusta. Ryan is a very outdoorsy kind of guy who likes to hunt and fish so it was the perfect setting. These two have such a sweet, organic kind of relationship and despite hating to have photos taken, they were so sweet just “doing their thing.” I’m looking forward to their wedding next month!

Angi + David | Lake Michigan Engagement Photos

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Thu, 07 May 2015 13:58:53 +0000

I met with Angi about a year ago when she and David got engaged. Along with her mom, we chatted about her big wedding day coming up. I had yet to meet David and her adorable little daughter. We combined their engagement session into a little family session too and it was so much fun! South Haven beach actually wasn’t too bad even though summer is not yet in full swing yet. We survived and were so thankful for the calm breeze. I had so much fun with these 3 and I’m really looking forward to their wedding at Mill Creek Barn next month.

Debbie + Perry: Engagement

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Wed, 29 Oct 2014 02:13:52 +0000

It was so nice getting to know Debbie and Perry better during their engagement session. They are such a sweet and laid back couple full of talent. They have been so busy crafting things for their wedding this coming summer. I cannot wait to see all of the lovelies they have been creating! Debbie came prepared to our shoot with this adorable hot cocoa set up. Such a sweet idea! Perry had to location all scoped out for us too. They make a dynamite team.:)

Becky + Cole: Engagement Photos

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Fri, 10 Oct 2014 13:35:14 +0000

Becky and Cole are getting married next spring. While I have known Becky for quite some time…way before she was old enough to think about getting married…it was nice to get to know the guy she choose to spend the rest of her life with. I always love when couples have photographs with their pets too, so it was super fun hanging out with their sweet puppy!
