Although blessings flow throughout the entire year, it’s this time of year especially I am so reminded and aware of just how blessed I really am. I don’t think it’s possible to give back and help others in the same measure I feel God has blessed me, but rather than just think about it, it brings unspeakable joy to do something about it. It’s always an honor to help out with the Help Portrait crew in providing family photos for families who otherwise could not afford to capture such memories together. It was a great day! Christine is such a beautiful woman with the patience of a saint and a fun loving personality anyone can’t help but love. She is a talented dog trainer and owner of What A Dog. Her dog Toula is a rescue and has been featured on many movies as well as Regis & Kelly. Christine has rescued all of her dogs and is proof that a dog’s intelligence depends on the owner. Toula and Cole can do some amazing things and I am always in awe when working with her. The photos of her and Annie, her eldest dog, just really tugged at my heart. Ah, I do not even want to think about my babies growing old. Brings tears to my eyes. The relationship between dog and human is like no other.

Although it was threatening thunder storms all day long, we ended up with a lovely evening at the apple orchard! Amanda and Grant wanted some treasured photos before they begin their family so we had an evening of fun amidst the pumpkins, apples, trees and flowers.

Godfrey Farm Generations

I was so honored when the Godfrey family approached me to take photos of their children and grandchildren on the family farm. The farm house is going to be moved back 70 feet from its original foundation onto a new foundation as the old one is crumbling. Jack & Maureen will continue to live on the farm. The renovations and addition to the existing home will allow more space for their ever expanding family. I had such a fun time with them and I hope I captured some photos that they will cherish and look to for years to come as they remember their childhood on the farm. It was fun to reminisce with the kids as they told stories of things that happened in their childhood. When Maureen first sat down with me and was describing the farm, I had a feeling I had taken photos of this farm before, so I went through my archives and sure enough, I had stopped along side of the road and taken photos of this farm last April! Apparently it was meant to be!!

Now Accepting Class of 2012 Senior Models

It’s that time of year where I am looking for senior models to represent Color Splash Studio. Openings are very limited and only two representatives will be chosen from each school. Every applicant will receive $50 off their session fee even if you aren’t chosen as a rep., so you still save money just by applying.

Senior Reps must:
• be graduating class of 2012.
• be outgoing and willing to have fun.
• be photogenic.
• sign a model release.
• bring a parent to the shoot.
• be willing to show your portraits to friends and tell them about Color Splash Studio.

As a representative you will receive:
• a free photo session – 1 hour shoot at any location ($150 value).
• Copy of up to 15 low resolution images from your session for your Phone, iPad, and/or Facebook.
• 50 personalized photo referral cards worth $50 off a photo session
for all of your friends.
• $10 iTunes gift card and $25 print credit for each referral.
• $500 Visa gift card or Apple iPad for 20 referrals.

FAQ
Q: How long is a session?
A: A typical photo session lasts 1-2 hours.

Q: Do I get paid to be a model?
A: Models receive the items mentioned (over $300 value) and the opportunity to earn other items or discounts on their photos. I do not offer cash payments.

Q: Are all applicants accepted?
A: Unfortunately I can’t accept every applicant as a senior representative. I only have a limited number of openings, and also limit the number of reps. per school. However, every applicant receives $50 off their session fee.

Q: How will I know if I’m accepted?
A: I will contact you.

Emily + Ten Year Old Mischief

I had such a blast with Emily and her mom for Emily’s ten year old photos. Emily is such a little fashion diva and came to the studio with tons of new clothes she wanted to incorporate into her photos. We did both inside and out of the studio, complete with some karaoke and dance moves! It was a great time!

Pretty in Pink

Although it was raining cats and dogs outside, these adorable little girls brought all the cheerfulness of spring in the studio with their adorable smiles, baby blue eyes and pink outfits. It was so much fun welcoming little baby McKendra to the mix.

Emily + Senior Sensation

I had a wonderful time taking Emily’s senior pics at Brooks Lodge in Augusta. This girl has grown up to be such a little beauty queen inside and out. Time sure flies as I met Emily when she was in the 5th grade. She actually asked me what grade I was in, which made me feel good! LOL. So fun hanging out with you, Em! I hope you are having a fabulous senior year so far!
