I don’t think it’s possible to give back and help others in the same measure I feel God has blessed me, but rather than just think about it, it brings unspeakable joy to do something about it. It’s always an honor to help out with the Help Portrait crew in providing family photos for families who otherwise could not afford to capture such memories together. It was a great day! There were over 40 free services provided to over 1,000 local area residents. Services ranging from hair cuts, mending, vision and hearing screening and many more. It was such a joy to see kids and families proudly come up to get their portrait taken. They were just in awe and many of them had never had a family photo before so it was so fun to see how happy they were to get a pic of them and their children. I am so excited that Help Portrait partnered with this project and I can’t wait to volunteer with more of them! My heart is so near and dear to the candid photos of the kids. Ah, I just love these kids! The most beautiful part about this for me is that it is local. These are the people in our community who are hurting and poor and needy and that’s where my heart is at! My globe is Judea and what a blessing to be a part of this! So much work went into organizing so thank you to everyone who did so much prep work for this event!
