Hannah {Senior}

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Thu, 29 Sep 2011 15:54:05 +0000

Hannah is such an awesome girl who is quite the golf champion. She put together the cutest vintage golf outfit incorporating her puppy! Everything about this shoot was right up my ally. Not that I am a great golfer, but I do enjoy the sport and dogs of course are a huge passion of mine. We had such a blast motoring around Lake Doster Country Club hitting balls out of the sand.:) Hannah did a sensational session with two locations so we rocked out the infamous endless supply junk yard I love so much for her second session. Such a fabulous time!!

Carter 6 Months {Kids}

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Thu, 26 May 2011 19:19:34 +0000

Carter is growing up to be quite the little man! He wasn’t quite so sure about his first experience in the grass. It wasn’t really his favorite! It was pretty funny to see him raise his feet like he was terrified of it! Had a great time – he’s always so happy and full of smiles.

Little David John is getting big soo fast! He sure has changed since his newborn photos, that’s for sure! He’s turning into quite a little stud.:)

Senior Year + Best Friends Forever

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Thu, 13 May 2010 05:38:09 +0000

Had a great time taking pics of Anna and her best buddy Meghan. They were an absolute riot! We rocked out some old cars and chairs and climbed around outside and then took things in the studio and got super goofy. Had a great time with you girls!

Happy Mother’s Day

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Mon, 10 May 2010 03:55:21 +0000

Today was such a great day with my family. I am so blessed to have both grandmother’s. I think they become more beautiful every single year. Of course my mother truly is my best friend though thick and thin and I am more thankful for her each year that passes. I know there are many more things she will teach me in my life time, but one of the biggest things she’s taught me is about time. I used to whine about not having enough time and she promptly set me straight and told me to never complain about not having enough time because we choose what we do with our time. I have been very careful ever since to choose wisely in whom and what I invest my time. Family became a huge priority for me after that conversation with her many years ago. It has helped me so much in managing my business. I do choose what I do with my time, and I so love and cherish the people with whom I spend it!

Spring Time + Simba

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Wed, 28 Apr 2010 21:21:44 +0000

Undoubtedly this is my favorite time of year! Everything is so green and blooming and it is so refreshing from the dark days of winter.

This is my little Lilly Jean being a tut tut like always. Of course she would not look at the camera, but I just love the light on her in this pic and all the sparkly bokeh!

And this is the trouble maker, Simba! Simba is just a puppy and he likes to play so many games. I had the privilege of capturing him playing with the hose in the bird bath. He tries to catch the water and it is so hilarious to watch!

Emily + Ten Year Old Mischief

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Fri, 16 Apr 2010 18:09:19 +0000

I had such a blast with Emily and her mom for Emily’s ten year old photos. Emily is such a little fashion diva and came to the studio with tons of new clothes she wanted to incorporate into her photos. We did both inside and out of the studio, complete with some karaoke and dance moves! It was a great time!

Acrobatic cartwheel moves!

Singing out into the hair brush the signature “fabulous” song!!

Puppy Love

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Mon, 05 Apr 2010 02:15:26 +0000

Some weekend fun with the animals! If it isn’t obvious, I absolutely love animals!!! This puppy is the cutest dog ever, so full of personality, and he and the cats are best buddies! I love to watch how animals interact and take care of each other. They may not speak, but they sure say so much through what they do. Makes me wonder sometimes, if I did not speak I might be more careful about what I do. Animals don’t have a chance to justify through words, actions are all they have so it’s neat to see what they say.:)

Hmmmm, not so sure about you with that camera….

This is a z-donk (zebra/donkey). I love the country. This is my idea of photo walking! Some people like fire hydrants and beat up alley ways, but I just love nature!

These are my little cousins. They are just too cute. Typical boys being boys. Sweet and innocent here, until they crashed to the ground!

Happy Easter

Jamie Brokus Fox - Color Splash Studio — Sat, 03 Apr 2010 02:30:49 +0000

Welcome to my new blog design and Happy Easter! I’m hoping with my new layout I will post pictures more often of every day life. I take so many photos as I enjoy it so much and many of them are never shared. For those of you who follow me on facebook, you see much more than what ever makes it to my website. I’m also looking forward to sharing some of my design work as well because when I’m not taking photos I am designing.:) For those of you who don’t know, these are my little kiddos, Kippy and Lilly.

I took this as I was thinking about the thorns on Jesus’ head when we was crucified. Thinking about the wounds and pain of mine he took upon himself. I’m so thankful for the hope I have in Christ. So thankful for the abundant life He offers. It’s not always easy, but once you walk in freedom it is so much better than before!
